The authentic reproduction British tax disc people

Earlswood was established in 1995 and is now based in the Cotswolds.

During the late 1980s, Earlswood’s founder, the late Hugh Ticknor, purchased an original tax disc at an auction for his 1936 Velocette motorcycle and having paid around £50, he then tried to personalise the overwritten details. Disappointed with the final result, the idea of printing and selling reproduction British tax discs for classic and vintage vehicles was born.

Having received a license from the DVLA in 1995 (Earlswood is the only provider to have one), he commissioned the first batch of reproduction British tax discs dating from 1921 (when they were first introduced) to 1992.

Over the years, Earlswood has supplied hundreds of replica vintage and classic tax discs to countries around the world and our attention to detail with all our products is as obsessive today as it has always been.

In addition to reproduction vintage and classic British tax discs, Earlswood also offers a range of high quality brass, bright nickel and chrome tax disc holders, authentic reproductions of the 1950’s motorcycling safety posters ‘Journey's End’ and ‘Don't Do it!’ and bespoke tax disc cufflinks and tax disc key fobs based on our replica tax discs.
